Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Lympstone Manor is widely praised for its beautiful estate, offering lovely views of the estuary and well-kept grounds, where guests enjoy relaxing by the pool. The rooms, such as the Redshank junior suite, are often described as immaculate, stylish, and luxurious. Dining experiences are a highlight, with many guests adoring dishes from the signature tasting menu like the langoustine and beef tartare, though some have noted that light bites and snacks were sub-standard. Breakfast at the pool house is a seamless experience with espresso and newspapers delivered beforehand, setting a good tone for the day.

admirable stay

great attentionstaff kindnessdelicious breakfastexcellent service
The hotel was superb with meticulous attention to detail from arrival. staff ensured my car's safety after a breakdown nearby. They fetched my bags and towed the car to the hotel car park. breakfast and lunch at the pool house were really good and provided a seamless experience. i enjoyed the delivery of espresso, juice, and newspapers prior to breakfast each morning, setting a good tone for the day.
the dining room had a sombre atmosphere and my porridge featured lumps of uncooked oats, a surprising oversight for a michelin-starred hotel.
Dining
9/10
the restaurant offered superb room service with high quality ingredients. the breakfast was presented beautifully in the dining room. i savored fresh seafood at mickey's beach restaurant; the service was attentive.
Rooms
8/10
my room featured a gin tray. it also had superb views. i enjoyed the spacious king room; the terrace offered tranquility. the room was immaculate on arrival, though it could use better soundproofing.
Facilities
9/10
the grounds feature sculptures. a walk into town offered a walkway. a swing at the gardens' bottom was especially delightful. the pool house was exceptionally good, the location was perfect! though the parking was expensive.

a good escape

lovely groundsrelaxing pool areainteresting vineyardsour milk
the grounds were lovely and very well-kept. i spent a lot of time near the pool area, i found it very relaxing. i will definitely consider returning for another relaxing stay. the vineyard tour proved very interesting as well.
i noticed that the milk flasks in the rooms did not keep the milk fresh enough. It turned sour by the morning. this occurred because there were no fridges available in the rooms.
Dining

breakfast provided a lovely choice of skilfully prepared dishes; it was a very pleasant experience. i had the opportunity to experience the fine dining restaurant; the food was lovely, though the atmosphere felt somewhat sombre.

the hotel offers beautiful views of the surrounding area. i took advantage of the vineyard tour and found it very interesting. the brasserie near the pool provided a great casual dining option.
